Press Release

Calling all LQBTQI+ individuals and allies in and around the Kingdom of Fife!

Join the expected 3000+ people taking to the streets of Kirkcaldy on Saturday July 1st for a Pride celebration like no other. With over 15 stalls and live entertainment until 7pm there is an abundance of activities to make the day the best Pride celebrations Fife has ever hosted! Fill your heart with love and your stomach with the great food and drink available from our food venders and licenced bars whilst you revel in the non-stop local talent on our main stage (located in the Town House Square, KY1 1EX) and join us at 1pm as we march through Kirkcaldy from Fife College, St Brycedale Campus.

With music from our headline act, local band Easy Ride to instrumentals from the Kirkcaldy Pipe Band there is something for everyone at this year’s Fife Pride and our hosts April Adamàs and Jo Crawford are sure to keep you laughing as they take us through the jam-packed celebrations!

The YOUTH ZONE is back at Fife Pride this year. Hosted by Drag King Jo Crawford at The Hive from 1.30pm-4.00pm. There will be Arts and Crafts, Computer Games, Drag Performances, Badge Making, Rock painting and much more.

Other acts and speakers include: Demi McMahon, Benji, Bev Lyons, Ginger Fruits, The Passing Sages, Just The Brave, The Quior, Romay O’Donnell, Cllr David Ross, Cllr Stefan Hoggan-Radu, Sister Alaska Lott, Judy Hamilton and others.

Paul Murray, one of the Fife Pride organisers said:

“We are delighted to be bringing Fife Pride back to The Kingdom for the 5th time! We come together to celebrate and to protest. We celebrate the leaps and bounds we’ve made in equality and diversity over the last few years. We protest for changes that still need to be made. We seem to live in a world where lies, manipulation, and mis-interpretation of facts are the order of the day – particularly when targeted at our trans siblings. We all need to stand up against that.

Whatever your reasons for coming to Fife Pride you are welcome. We look forward to an epic, rainbow filled gathering in Kirkcaldy on Saturday 1st July!”

Sponsorship is from Aegon, Sky, Fife Council, and Fife Voluntary Action.
